Kinda related to the Magic EATING PUPPIES theme, I'd like to make Otaku weirder than they are now. Like Initiation, Submersion should have penalties, since you're basically taking an autistic kid and making him become MORE autistic. Upping the creepy and wrong factor would be good. I remember someone describing a resonance well as a place where the laws of regular computing simply take a walk: electronic components are water cooled by open faucets pouring over bare wires, unplugged components draw power without being plugged in, the whole structure seems to grow and change despite having no moving parts.

Thoughts? Oh, and yes we'll have to rebalance Otaku once we settle on rules for deckers; that'll be fun.

I think I'm down with it.

Resonance wells aren't generally described as physical places; do you mean the physical hardware that corresponds to that matrix-space? I'll need to review the literature to see to what degree there's a correspondence in SR.

Mm.
